UNIMINES specializes in the safe handling and transportation of Direct-reduced iron (DRI), also known as sponge iron, which is produced through the direct reduction of iron ore using a reducing gas made from natural gas or coal. This reducing gas, primarily composed of hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO), acts as a reducing agent in the process. The direct reduction process involves reducing the iron ore in solid form using these reducing gases.
UNIMINES has extensive practical experience in handling and transporting both DRI (B) in pellet form and DRI (C) in fine form from various facilities.
We are able to supply 30,000MT of DRI in pellet form to the Far East using break bulk vessels. Additionally, we can provide guidance to our clients on safety protocols for handling DRI.16:43
